Nissan-Kicks-Overview
Nissan has unveiled the India-spec Kicks SUV. However, this is only an exterior reveal while details on the interior and other aspects will be shared later. The Kick retains all the design cues of the international variant, it gets a redesigned front bumper with faux air inlets above the fog lights and an aluminium skid plate to add some ruggedness. Also on the Kick are those boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights, similar to the ones on the X-Trail. Over to the side, muscular wheel arches, strong shoulder line, blacked-out pillars and the floating roof finished in an orange that pops from miles away. All this eye candy rides on smart 17 inch alloys.
The India spec Kick however, is larger than the international model. It is longer, wider, taller and has a longer wheelbase and also has a higher ground clearance at 210mm when compared to its international counterpart. This increase in dimensions obviously means that the inside of the Indian Kick will be more spacious as well. It's based a updated version of the Alliance's M0 platform, which also underpins the Renault Captur. Interestingly, while the Kicks is longer and taller than the Captur, it has the exact same wheelbase. It is likely the India-spec Kicks will likely have the same engine and gearbox options as the Nissan Terrano, Renault Duster and Captur: the tried-and-tested 110hp, 1.5-litre diesel motor, and a 106hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine. Gearbox options could include a 6-speed manual for the diesel and a 5-speed manual for the petrol. The Nissan Kick will go head to head with the Hyundai Creta
